Abstract:
Absolute counts of shells of planktonic foraminifera Neogloboquadrina pachyderma from vertically stratified plankton net sampling in the Baffin Bay during cruises MSM44 and MSM66 and in the Fram Strait during cruise PS93.1. Overall counts of shells are present from all cruises, plus further distinguishing shells bearing cytoplasm and empty shells in the samples from PS93.1.

Comment:
N. pachyderma [#]: Count of shells of the species Neogloboquadrina pachyderma, divided into cytoplasm bearing and empty shells, plus the total of both types.
Sampling device: multiple closing plankton net (Hydro-Bios, Kiel) with an opening of 0.25 m²
Mesh size: 100 µm for MSM44 and MSM66, 55 µm for PS93.1
Sieving size: 250 and 63 µm for PS93.1
Storage after retrieval: -80°C for MSM44 and MSM66, 4°C and stained with Rose Bengal/ethanol (96%) mixture for PS93.1
