Abstract:
Variations of oxygen isotopes in the modern veinlets of the syngenetic ice wedges in the lower Kolyma River have been studied in relation to distance to the coast. Similar publications containing the δ¹⁸О data of the lower Kolyma area are used and data was compiled from Solomatin, 2013 and Konyakhin et al., 1996 with addition from Vaikmäe & Vasil'chuk, 1991, and Vasil'chuk, 1992.

Comment:
Oxygen isotope ratios were analyzed in the laboratory of Isotope Geology of the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of Estonia and in the laboratory of Isotope Hydrology of the Institute of Water Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences with the assistance of A.D. Esikov on the G-50 device. Control comparisons of the standards of both laboratories were carried out.
Data was submitted and proofread by Yurij K Vasil'chuk and Lyubov Bludushkina at the faculty of Geography, department of Geochemistry of Landscapes and Geography of Soils, Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Funding was received from the Russian Science Foundation (Award nr. 19-17-00126, isotope analysis) and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (Award nr. 18-05-60272, data synthesis).
