Abstract:
Vermuntferner and Ochsentaler Gletscher in the Austrian Silvretta are located between the two long term monitoring sites Silvretta glacier (CH) and Jamtalferner (AT). Therefore, direct measurements of glacier mass balance were carried out between 1991 and 1998 to reveal the regional variabilities and to validate models.
