Abstract:
This dataset reports in situ major elements of clinopyroxene of andesite from Kueishantao, north of Taiwan, China. Major element compositions of Cpx were obtained with a JEOL JXA-8230 electron microprobe at Ocean University of China.

Comment:
The thermobarometry of clinopyroxene we use was from Putirka et al. (2003). The Fe-Mg exchange coefficient yielded KD(Fe-Mg)cpx-liq = 0.28 ± 0.08 (Putirka, 2008), and only data points falling within the equilibrium range were used for thermobarometry calculations.
Clinopyroxene components are based on the numbers of cations on a 6 oxygen basis.
