Comment:
The samples were tested by incremental loading consolidation experiments following ASTM D2435/D2435M-11 (2011). The preconsolidation pressure was estimated by a modification of the widely used Casagrande method (Casagrande, 1936; McNulty et al., 1978) and Pacheco Silva method (1970), respectively.
