Abstract:
Macrozoobenthos was sampled with a multibox corer deployed during R/V Polarstern expeditions ANT VI/3, VII/4, XIII/3, XV/3, XVII/3, XXI/2, XXVII/3, and XXIX/9 (PS82), which took place between the austral summers of 1988 and 2014. Sediment was sieved with a 0.5mm mesh and fixed in 5% formaldehyde; weighs were measured back on land.
This data set correspond an update to stations which belong to previously published data sets, as well as the publication of new data for the Kapp Norvegia/Austasen area in the eastern Weddell Sea. The update corresponds to stations for the Kapp Norvegia/Austasen region sampled during the expeditions:
This update includes a correction of the locations of the stations and values for macrozoobenthic biomass.
