Abstract:
Opal accumulation rate from Salamy and Zachos 1999. Data table from pers. Comm with Karen Salamy by E. Sibert, 11/12/2018. Original data from Salamy and Zachos includes all Sample Information, including 'Depth-Altered', as well as % opal."
Age, sedimentation rate, DBD, and Opal AR are recalculated for this study
Dry Bulk Density (DBD) was linearly interpolated from JANUS data for ODP Site 744 (http://web.iodp.tamu.edu/janusweb/physprops/maddat.cgi?leg=119&site=744&hole=A) using an average DBD for methods B and C (reported in Moisture and Density tables)
Opal Accumulation calculated as [% opal] * [sediment MAR] = g/cm2/myr.
Ages modified to be on GTS2012 after Table S11 (This study, doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.910677).
