MOSES_2019_Elbe-NorthSea * Abstract: This first MOSES observation campaign on extreme high- and low-water events investigated the impact of the severe drought in Germany in 2019 on aquatic systems along the course of the Elbe River right down to the North Sea. In the past, for example, the Elbe floods of 2002 and 2013, or the historic low water levels of 2018, led to lasting changes in river and marine ecosystems. As part of this campaign, researchers investigated how the extreme low-water and high-temperature conditions affect water quality, ecosystems and greenhouse gas emissions. The data sets were collected using several research vessels, mobile sensor systems and in-situ monitoring networks along the land-sea continuum. * Well-known text: POLYGON ((8.345355 55.440014, 6.515533 54.41471, 13.235709 50.205636, 15.055213 51.341145, 8.345355 55.440014))
