Comment:
Refer to dataset doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.922218 for all raw temperature measurements at 10 minute intervals from 17.04.2017 23:00 to 22.04.2017 14:40 (local Tiksi time).
The temperatures were collected with a GeoPrecision temperature chain: accuracy (0.1 deg C) and resolution (0.01 deg C).
- “raw” temperature is the final measurement before cable extraction.
- “calibration” temperature is the temperature recorded by the sensors in a water-ice bath
- “processed” temperature is the final temperature corrected for drilling heat (Lachenbruch et al., 1982, doi:10.1029/JB087iB11p09301) & sensor offsets from 0 deg C recorded in the water-ice bath calibration. The reference is cited in the paper.
