Comment:
AUV ABYSS (REMUS 6000 type) is equipped with an Edgetech 2200 MP SSS system. The merged dataset includes the following surveys: Abyss189 - SO242/1_25-1; Abyss190 - SO242/1_33-1. The survey altitude during the SSS missions were set to 20 m, the data were processed with CleanSweep (from Ocean Imaging Consultants). The merged data set was geo-referenced based on the AUV MBES data (https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.905580) as a reference layer. The plough marks resolved in both data sets and three dominant morphological structures with distinct substrate characteristics were applied as anchor points for the alignment (Gausepohl et al, 2020).
