<md:title>UAV-derived orthomosaic over a small intertidal coastal strip within "El Soldado", estuary in Guaymas, Sonora, México</md:title>

<md:abstract>An orthomosaic image was created with a set of aerial photographs taken with commercial grade Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV, 3DR solo) that flew at 30 meters above ground in March 02, 2019 at 9 a.m. (UTC - 07:00). The orthomosaic covers an area of approximately 18,800 m2 where a meteorological tower and eddy-covariance instrumentation were deployed. The data were used to support the project: "Caracterización de los almacenes y flujos de carbono en pastos marinos de regiones bioclimáticas contrastantes de México." A MAPIR Survey2 RGB camera was pointed downwards at nadir (90°) with a shooting interval of two seconds. The flight conditions during the aerial survey were:  wind less than 0.5 m/s and clear sky. Flight duration was 10 minutes.  Sidelap overlay was set to 75% and frontlap overlay was 85% . Horizontal Field of View (HVOF) was set to 82°, flight altitude was 30 m whereas flight speed was 4 m/s speed. A total of 314 photographs were used to construct the rectified orthomosaic. Image central coordinates are 27°57'14.4" N and 110°58'19.2" W (which represents the location of the meteorological tower). Orthorectified mosaic was created using 3D reconstruction and image processing software AGISOFT® Photoscan (now Metashape). No GCP were used in the processing, however; orthomosaic coordinates were assign by camera internal GPS. All processes were set at high quality. Dense point cloud composed by 93, 956, 486 points. Image resolution acquired was 1.1 cm/pix</md:abstract>
