Abstract:
Weather data monitoring is ongoing since 2015 at L.U.P.T. ("Laboratorio di Urbanistica e Pianificazione del Territorio Raffaele d'Ambrosio" of the University of Naples "Federico II"), located in Via Toledo, within the historical center of Naples. The meteorological station was installed in order to analyze and correctly understand the local process of Urban Heat Island, very challenging goal due to the complex orography and the closeness to the sea surface. The uploaded dataset includes data (temperature, relative humidity, wind, rain and barometric pressure) acquired at the L.U.P.T. automatic weather station (model: DAVIS Vantage Pro2 Plus - wireless) during the period Jan. 2017-Dec. 2018. From September to December 2018, the detected wind speed values were affected by a not quantifiable under-estimation due to a technical problem, so they were excluded by database.
