Abstract:
We perturb the control climate by abruptly introducing an anomalous q-flux that is constant over time. This perturbed experiment is integrated for 20 years and the first 5 years are discarded. There are largely two sets of experiments, one with the forcing over the high latitude between 45-60 and the other over the tropics between 10-20. The high-latitude forcing is prescribed over three different ocean basins: north Pacific, north Atlantic and Southern Ocean.
control climate : ctl
the surface warming is prescribed over the north Pacific : npac
the surface warming is prescribed over the north Atlantic : natl
the surface cooling is prescribed over the north Atlantic : sotl
the surface warming is prescribed over the tropical Pacific : tpac
the surface warming is prescribed over the tropical Atlantic : tatl
