Comment:
Nutrients were collected and analysed in the lab. TChla. was calculated from diagnostic pigments (Vidussi et al. 2001) and size classes were calculated using multiple regression analysis after Uitz et al. (2006). Incubations for Carbon fixation, Ammonium assimilation and Nitrate assimilation were done in triplicates in two different incbation bins.
