The FerryBox system used was equipped with: single temperature and conductivity probe (SBE 45, S/N 0526), a turbidity sensor (Seapoint Turbidity Meter, STM I87017_A), and a fluoroscence sensor (Seapoint Chlorophyll Fluorometer, SFC I87064). The sensors were pre-calibrated by the manufacturers. The FerryBox was by-passed to the shipboard seawater system, pumping water from the surface at approx. 6 m depth. The system was operated with a flow of approx. 6 L/min. The ship speed is given as an indicator for transect and station time during the cruise and was derrived from the onboard DSHIP system. Station data might be influenced by ship operation and manoeuvering and should be taken with care. Data were despiked, and visually checked. Reference samples for salinity correction were taken in defined intervals, and analysed in laboratory approx. 4 months after the cruise [n=24, R²=0.999]. The ship position was derived from the shipboard GPS-system. The time zone is given in UTC. All systems had to be stopped from the 4th of May (UTC 21:27) to the 6th of May (UTC 21:27).</description></descriptions><geoLocations><geoLocation><geoLocationBox><westBoundLongitude>175.348</westBoundLongitude><eastBoundLongitude>-176.47411</eastBoundLongitude><southBoundLatitude>-35.7065</southBoundLatitude><northBoundLatitude>58.90804</northBoundLatitude></geoLocationBox></geoLocation><geoLocation><geoLocationPlace>Pacific Oean</geoLocationPlace></geoLocation></geoLocations></resource>
