Comment:
In the current experiment, two different paints were tested to illustrate the use of the new flow cells in experimental screening of antifouling coatings: a classic commercially available low-release copper-based antifouling paint ("Copper"; Biltema BS, designed for the Baltic Sea; by The Boero Group, Italy), and a generic paint, with ("Aba" paint) and without ("Control" paint) the addition of a macrocyclic lactone, abamectin. Both formulations are of low eroding type and based on rosin derivates as binder.
