In June 2010, the surf zone off the western beach of Sylt was sampled for macrozoobenthos. One sampling station was arranged per km of beach length (n=37) at a distance of some 100m from the water line. Three replicate box cores (0.02 m² surface area) per site were sieved over 1 mm meshes and all macrozoobenthos retained was sorted to species level and counted.
All abundance data are #/0,02 m² (individuals per box core).
