Comment:
In June 2010, seven transects across the surf zone off Puan Klent (Island of Sylt) were sampled for macrozoobenthos. Three of these transects had been fed with sand 4 years before, the other four transects (interspaced between the replenished areas) were unchanged and serve as a control. Each transect consisted of 5 sampling sites perpendicular to the coastline. Three replicate box cores (0.02 m² surface area) per site were sieved over 1 mm meshes and all macrozoobenthos retained was sorted to species level and counted.
All abundance data are #/0,02 m² (individuals per box core).
