A mooring line located at Espartel Sill (Strait of Gibraltar) has been maintained since 2004, among other instruments a Conductivity-Temperature sensor (SEA-BIRD CT SBE 37-SMP) located 14 meters above the seafloor register the temperature and salinity of the Mediterranean Outflow each 30 minutes.
