The precision resulted in absolute uncertainties in the 87Sr/86Sr ratio is about 2 × 10^-5. Measurement of 87Sr/86Sr ratio for NIST 987 Sr standard during the course of these analyses yielded a value of 0.710247 ± 0.000015 (2 sigma, n = 10), which is the same as the reported value by other laboratories (e.g., 0.710254 ± 0.000023, McArthur, 1994, doi:10.1111/j.1365-3121.1994.tb00507.x).
