Units of effort and catch are different for each fishery. For instance, the effort and catch of fishery 1,2,3 and 4 are expressed in number of hooks and number of individual tuna, respectively. The fishery 5 and 6 have number of hooks (effort) and tonnes (catch). For the purse seine fisheries, all the catch are expressed in tonnes, but the effort unit can be different for each fishery. To obtain catch and effort unit for each fishery, users are recommended to see the article for details.
PLEASE NOTE, that this dataset was updated on 2016-12-21. An additional column was added: T. obesus, mass in tons. Also, a few numbers were corrected. Please contact the PI for details.
