Comment:
Ages corresponding to depth between 0.17 m and 11.61 m are based on correlation of Ba/Ti record of core SO202-39-3 to Ba/Al of ODP site 882 (Jaccard et al., 2010).
Depth from 12.63 to 19.98 m are dated by Relative Paleointensity (RPI) correlation (NRM20/IRM20) of core SO202-39-3 to RPI record of Yamazaki and Kanamatsu (2007).
Core depth of 1.77 m can also be related to Aso4-tephra (86.8-87.3 ka after Aoki, 2008). Core depth of 17.38 m is related to the Bruhnes-Matuyama polarity reversal, dated to 778+-1.7 ka (Tauxe et al., 1996). Following age/depth points are also proved by geomagnetic excursions, detected in ChRM Inclination within the same samples: 4.87 m corresponds to Iceland Basin excursion (188 ka after Roberts, 2008), 17.63 m refelects Brunhes Precursor (797 ka after Roberts, 2008) and 19.98 is likely to reflect Santa Rosa excursion (920+-2 - 925+-1 ka after Horng et al., 2002).
