The model data was created using the planktonic foraminifera model PLAFOM coupled to an ecosystem model (see Moore et al. [2002]).
The model results include annual mean values of relative abundances of N. pachyderma for modern conditions, Heinrich Stadial 1 and the Last Glacial Maximum.
The theoretical annual mean d18O values of inorganic calcite have been calculated after O'Neil et al. [1969, cited in Shackleton [1974]]. We assess the joint seasonality/temperature, the temperature and the seasonality effects for temperature estimates of three different depths (for a detailed description see Kretschmer et al. (submitted)).
