Comment:
a) U1338 First Order Shipboard Age Model.
b) 'Match' Tie Point Overview - First Generation alignment.
c) 'Match' Tie Point Overview - Second Generation alignment.
T = Top Occurance; B = Bottom Occurance; *Data from Expedition 320/321 Scientists, 2010. Depth from Wilkens et al., 2013. Ages reported on the ATNTS2004 timescale (Lourens et al., 2004).
a) The shipboard palaeomagnetic and nannofossil datums (Expedition 320/321 Scientists, 2010), including depth (m CCSF-A; Wilkens et al., 2013) and age, which form first-order age model used for Site U1338.
Alongside the available palaeomagnetic datum, nannofossil datums were used because of the low depth uncertainty and identification in multiple holes (Expedition 320/321 Scientists, 2010).
The tie points used in the (b) first- and (c) second-generation Match alignments, with alternative tie points IS1 (TP 1), IS2 (TP3), IS3 (TP5) and IS4 (TP6) falling within the depth error of the original datums.
