Comment:
The LAI product used for analysis is the MODIS product for Leaf Area Index - Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (MOD15A2) (See also the "Source data set" link).
We used the MODIS-LAI product from „Reprocessing the MODIS Leaf Area Index products for land surface and climate modelling" with a spatial resolution of about 1 sq. km per grid cell by Hua Yuan et al. (2011).
The LAI_grad_monthly.zip file contains the calculated trends of LAI over the eleven year interval for each separate month starting in May 2000 as ascii-files. Coordinates for the global coordinate system WGS84 were added to these files.
The LAI_mean_month contains a stack of the LAI mean values just for each month and for each year from 2000 to 2011 as ascii-files.
All maps have an extent of upper left corner: lat 65, long 117.55, lower right corner: lat 61.05, long 131.05.
