Die Produktion von Schnee für den Betrieb von Skigebieten hängt von der Lufttemperatur und der Luftfeuchtigkeit an, und somit von der Feuchttemperatur. In der vorliegenden Studie wurden die Änderungen der Feuchttemperatur an 11 Stationen des Deutschen Wetterdienstes (Deutschland) und 17 Stationen der Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodynamik (Österreich) untersucht. Dabei wurde als Grenzwert für die Schneeproduktion eine Feuchttemperatur von -2°C angenommen, und die mögliche Anzahl der Beschneitage bzw. Beschneistunden berechnet. Im beigefügten Datensatz wurden die Beschneitage nach Monaten für die Perioden 1934/35-1953/54, 1954/55-1973/74, 1974/75-1993/94 und 1994/95-2013/14 sowie die Standardabweichungen der Werte innerhalb dieser Perioden zusammengefasst.
