Sampling and measurement techniques for additional measurements (silicate, nitrate, oxygen, phosphate, salinity) as described in Lennartz et al. 2014 Biogeosciences, 11, 6323-6339 (doi:10.5194/bg-11-6323-2014). Carbonate chemistry measurements (dissolved inorganic carbon (CT) and total alkalinity (AT) as described in Melzner et al. 2013). Measurements were conducted in Arne Körtzinger's laboratory, samples were taken by Jörn Thomsen on monthly cruises to Boknis Eck time series station in 2009-2010. Carbonate system speciation was calculated using CO2SYS, as described in Melzner et al. 2013.
