The age model is based on a combination of: LR04 benthic stack-derived ages for the interval 5.0-1.7 Myr (Lisiecki & Raymo 2004), two biostratigraphic models (Chaisson & d'Hondt 2000; Kameo & Bralower 2000) for the period 1700-465 ky, a d18O-based orbital solution (Schmidt et al., 2006) for the past 465 kyr.
