Abstract:
Samples from Holes 147, 147A, and 147B have been dated by the radiocarbon method; ages ranged to 27,000 years ago at about 20 meters sub-bottom. The sedimentation rates were approximately 50 cm/10**3 y. for the last 5000 years and 10 to 75 cm/10**3 y. prior to that.
