We sincerely thank Luis Valdés and Marco Amez from IEO who collected the samples.
The genus Acartia mostly contains A. clausi, the genus Calanus mostly contains C. helgolandicus and the genus Centropages mostly contains C. typicus. Sampling was conducted with a plankton net (WP2), 200 µm mesh, vertical hauls net between 100 m and the surface.
