Sediment depth is given in mcd. Major and trace elements were measured by ICP-MS (VG PlasmaQuad II+) with a typical precision of ±5%. Indium internal standard solution was added to each sample prior to analysis. The accuracy of the analysis was assessed running the BR and BE-N rock standards.
