Comment:
Reconstructed climate variables derived from the pollen record from Yakumo peat bog (Kito and Takimoto, 1999, Supplementary table 3, doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.785340) using the modern analogue technique and reference pollen-climate dataset including 326 sites (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.785247). Based on a modern climate data set (New et al., 2002, doi:10.3354/cr021001) following values for climate parameters were estimated: Temperature of warmest month (WMT) = 21.1 °C; Temperature of coldest month (CMT) = -3.7 °C; Annual mean temperature (MAT) = 7.9 °C; Precipitation, Apr-Sep = 670 mm; Precipitation, Oct-Mar = 582 mm; Annual mean precipitation = 1252 mm.
