Note that the age models according to Lourens et al. (2004), Shackleton et al. (1995) and Cande and Kent (1995) do not differentiate between top, mean and base of reversal boundary. Sediment depth in mcd. The reversals were determined at sections that did not belong to the mcd splice. Using core logging data, these sections were more precisely matched to the mcd splice.
