Comment:
The microbialites are calculated from the midpoint of the 1 sigma range of both raw 14C ages. Coralline algae and microbialites samples have been dated by radiocarbon AMS at the MALT (University of Tokyo, Japan) and most of the corals samples have been dated by radiocarbon AMS at ARTEMIS (Saclay, France) except for samples marked by * which were dated at the MALT. Corals marked by (d) are detailed in Durand et al. (doi:10.2204/iodp.sp.310.2005), submitted for publication. Slopemicrobialites are marked by ** and were not considered for the calculation of the average age offsets.
