Size fraction >62.5 µm. GC352, GC357, GC368, GC370, GC371, GC372 283 and GC374 were analysed with a Thermo-Finnigan MAT 253 mass spectrometer at the Godwin Laboratory for Palaeoclimate Research (Cambridge University, UK). Those from multiple core PS2543-3 were analysed with a Thermo-Finnigan MAT 251 mass spectrometer at AWI.
