Comment:
The contributions from the pore fluid salts to the solid bromine and iodine concentrations were corrected based on the measured or interpolated Br- and I- pore fluid concentrations. Although precision of the bromine and iodine measurements is +/-4%, at depths below several meters the corrections for the pore fluid salts can be larger than the measured concentrations in the solids resulting in potentially much larger errors. The absolute error has not been estimated.
