Modelled data, based on REMO model, time resolution: static, period of data collection: 1979 - 1993, geographical location: 6°S - 3°S, 117°E - 128°E, general description: data output from MPIfM Hamburg Regional Model, REMO. Grid resolution is 0.16° (18 km), covers Sulawesi Island, file name: remo-rain7993, format: GrADS. Data is in binary format .grd and its descriptors file .ctl. Use free software GrADS (http://www.iges.org/grads/) to display the data.
2. Observed data, based on rain gauge measurement, time resolution: static, period of data collection: 1979 - 1993, geographical location: 6°S - 3°S, 117°E - 128°E. Station data (irregular grid) interpolated to the same grid resolution as in REMO model (18 km) used for validation of the REMO model. Data were collected in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, file name: valid_sulteng7993, format: GrADS. Data is in binary format .grd and its descriptors file .ctl.119.75120.25-1.5-1.0
