Shown are the calendar ages and resulting linear sedimentation-rates based on the alPal_SFCP_2005 (www.calpal.de) primarily based on the GISP2-synchronised Cariaco basin record (Hughen et al., 2004), INTCAL04 (Reimer et al., 2004), and the most recent Fairbanks U/Th-based calibration curve (Fairbanks et al., 2005). Sample KIA2961 at depth 23.69 m is one dating that is affected by the radiocarbon plateau shown by the CalPal_SFCP_2005 calibration curve (see Fig. 2 and discussion in 3.2.).
Samples (primarily Globigerinoides bulloides and Neogloboquadrina pachyderma), performed at the Leibniz-Labor AMS facility in Kiel, Germany.
