2 | Age model | Age model | ka | Shackleton, Nicholas J | Depth in core determined by correlation with core V28-238. Ages are those estimated by Shackleton & Odyke (1973) by linear interpolation in core V28-238 using a rate of 1.7 cm/kyr. Terminations from Broecker & van Donk (1969). They defined terminatins on the basis of their interpretation of the saw-toothed character of the oxygen-isotope record. Owing to a possible hiatus in core V12-122, it appears that the event labeled termination VI by them is the stage 16-15 boundary. |
