Abstract:
The climate data has been recorded in Obergurgl at an elevation of 1938 m.a.s.l. The standard weather station (11°01'30'' E, 46°52'01'' N) is located at the west-facing slope of the Innermost Gurgltal, Ötztal, Tirol, about 30 m above the village at the valley floor. The dataset contains daily values of air temperature and precipitation over the period 1953 to 2011. Data were collected at the Central Meteorological Station of the Alpine Research Station Obergurgl (AFO), a local network of several Natural Science Departments of the University of Innsbruck.
